The Wisconsin Raw Milk Bill which passed the Senate by a vote of 25-8 and the Assembly by a vote of 60-35 faced a roadblock when Governor Jim Doyle vetoed the bill citing health concerns. Reports indicate that Governor Jim Doyle who was leaning towards signing this bill was heavily lobbied by big corporations and public health officials to Veto it even against the peoples will. The bill is not yet dead though, the Assembly and Senate nearly have enough votes to over ride the veto.

Letter to Senator McCain about S3002 and S3081
Hello Senator McCain,
You have recently been making headlines all across the news sites, and not for good stuff. I don’t know what’s gotten into you lately, but I’m requesting that instead of trying to come up with your own bills, perhaps you could just not do anything except vote against all these spending increases, tax increases, and push to get rid of this healthcare reform in it’s current state. Job Loss, Unemployment Takes a Big Toll
The biggest cause of suffering comes from the loss of a job or lack of income. It is common sense that even if a person who loses their job qualifies for unemployment that this will not nearly be enough for you to live off and why is that? Unemployment insurance is a government derived insurance policy that uses a system to calculate the base cost of necessities that people will need to survive and gives them exactly that amount. It is usually averaged out per state by taking the average cost of living for the entire state. This very simply means that if you live in a higher cost of living area in your state, unemployment benefits will more than likely not come anywhere close to being able to provide for you and your family. Most unemployment benefits will max out at a certain amount of money total or per paycheck. Continue reading →
The Beauty of State Rights: Arizona HCR2014

1) Prohibit any fine or penalty on anyone or any company for deciding to purchase health care directly.
2) Doctors and healthcare providers would remain free to accept those funds and provide those services.
3) Overrules anything that prohibits the sale of private health insurance in Arizona.
4) Overrides any law that requires individuals or employers to participate in any particular health care system. Continue reading →
